What’s On – November 2023

Read on for details of our upcoming Sunday and weekday worship services (including live stream links), prayer meetings, and other group activities and events taking place at St Paul’s during the month of November.

Sunday Worship Services

Sunday 5th November – All Saints

  • 10am – Holy Communion (live streamed)
  • 7pm – Xtra

Join us in church or online for Holy Communion this Sunday, with Chris Clough leading, and Malcolm Hendry presiding and preaching. The readings for this service will be 1 thessalonians 2:13-3:5 and Matthew 5:1-12. Alternatively, come along to Xtra, our more informal service, led by Mark Allison, with Chris Clough speaking, at 7pm. The reading for this service will be Matthew 5:1-12.

Sunday 12th November – Remembrance Sunday

  • 10am – Remembrance Sunday Service (live streamed)

Join us in church or online for our Remembrance Sunday Service today, with Chris Clough leading, and Rachel Hesselwood and Brian Greenfield speaking. The readings for this service will be Micah 4:1-8 and Matthew 5:1-12. This service will be followed by a procession to the Cenotaph at Crowgill Park for the Act of Remembrance at 11am and refreshments at St Paul’s Church.

Sunday 19th November

  • 10am – Holy Communion (live streamed)
  • 7pm – Xtra

Join us in church or online for Holy Communion this Sunday, with Brian Greenfield leading and presiding, and Sue Lawrence preaching. The readings for this service will be 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12 and Matthew 25:14-30. Alternatively, come along to Xtra, our more informal service, led by Mark Allison, with Rachel Hesselwood speaking, at 7pm. The reading for this service will be Matthew 25:14-30.

Sunday 26th November – Christ the King

  • 10am – Morning Worship (live streamed)
  • 7pm – Taize Style Advent Reflection

Join us in church or online for Morning Worship today, with Sue Lawrence leading and Chris Clough preaching. The readings for this service will be 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11 and Ephesians 1:15-23. Rachel Hesselwood will be leading our Taize Style Advent Reflection at 7pm this evening. Join us for an hour of music, reflection and silence reflecting on the expectation of Advent: from darkness to light.

Weekday Worship Services

Wednesday Holy Communion

10am – A short, quiet and reflective service on Wednesday mornings throughout the year, followed by refreshments at 10.30am

Prayer Meetings

An Hour of Prayer

10am – Join us for an hour of prayer on Tuesday mornings (not held on the last Tuesday of the month).

An Evening of Prayer

7.30pm – Join us for an evening of prayer on the last Tuesday of the month via Zoom.
