What’s On – November 2022

Read on for details of our upcoming Sunday and weekday worship services (including live stream links), prayer meetings, and other group activities and events taking place at St Paul’s during the month of November. Special services this month include our Memorial Service, our Remembrance Sunday Service and our Advent Taize Service. Our magical Christmas Tree Festival also takes place on the last Saturday in November!

Sunday Worship Services

Sunday 6th November

  • 10am – Holy Communion Service (live streamed)
  • 11.30am – Sunday Xtra
  • 4pm – Memorial Service

Join us for Holy Communion or our more informal Sunday Xtra service this Sunday. Brian Greenfield will be leading our Holy Communion Service, with Bishop Chris Edmondson presiding and preaching. Mark Allison leads Sunday Xtra today. This afternoon, we hold our annual Memorial Service at 4pm. This service provides an opportunity to give thanks for those we love, but see no longer. All are welcome.

Sunday 13th November

  • 10am – Remembrance Sunday Service (live streamed)

Join us in church or online for our Remembrance Sunday Service, with Chris Clough leading, and Brian Greenfield preaching. This service will be followed by a procession to the Cenotaph at Crowgill Park for the Act of Remembrance at 11am.

Sunday 20th November

  • 10am – Family Communion Service (live streamed)
  • 11.30am – Sunday Xtra

Join us for our Family Communion Service or Sunday Xtra today. Chris Clough will be leading our Family Communion Service, with John Butler presiding and Sue Lawrence speaking. Mark Allison leads Sunday Xtra today.

Sunday 27th November

  • 10am – Advent Communion Service (live streamed)
  • 7pm – Advent Taize Service

Join is in church or online for our Holy Communion Service on Advent Sunday – the first Sunday in Advent. Chris Clough will be leading and preaching at this service, with John Butler presiding. This evening, we will hold an Advent Taize Service at 7pm. Join us for an hour of music, reflection and silence reflecting on the expectation of Advent: from darkness to light.

Weekday Worship Services

Wednesday Holy Communion

10am – A short, quiet and reflective service on Wednesday mornings throughout the year, followed by refreshments at 10.30am.

Prayer Meetings

An Hour of Prayer

10am – Join us for an hour of prayer on Tuesday mornings (not held on the last Tuesday of the month).

An Evening of Prayer

7.30pm – Join us for an evening of prayer on the last Tuesday of the month.
