The service booklet which can be used in conjunction with this service is available here, along with a talk by Henriette Howarth. The order of service for Sunday Xtra is available here and has links to our YouTube channel, contemporary worship songs and other useful resources.

Thy Kingdom Come

For many years now, the global movement of prayer, Thy Kingdom Come, has produced resources to help us pray, especially between Ascension Day and Pentecost. Please go to their website for all their resources for adults, children and churches. There is also an app that you can download on your phone or tablet with daily prayers and videos. For more information about the Digital Family Prayer Adventure Map and the Family Prayer Adventure Podcasts please click here.

Thy Kingdom Come Hymn

A hymn written especially for 2020.

Loving God, your ascended Son has sent us into the world to share the good news of your kingdom: inspire us with your Spirit and fill our hearts with the fire of your love, that all who hear your Word may be drawn to you, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

Your Kingdom come, your will be done,

on earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours.

Now and for ever. Amen.

Your Kingdom Come

The Lord’s Prayer said by people all over the country in warehouses, on our streets, at home – Christians across the UK are praying the Lord’s Prayer on their frontlines.

Children’s Resources

  • Weekly@ are lectionary based children’s resources aimed at 5-11 year olds. These resources can be printed out and used at home on a weekly basis by those who wish to do so. This Sunday’s theme is Finished Work.

The Blessing (Kids)

A couple of weeks ago we shared the fantastic UK Blessing video with you – this week we share the kids version, sung by children all over the world.

It was recorded over five days this month and features children from the UK, USA, New Zealand, Australia, South America and many other nations. Enjoy!

Jesus’ Ascension

This video, by Saddleback Kids, tells the story of Jesus’ ascension after his resurrection and of the coming of the Holy Spirit as promised by Jesus.
