Sunday Services – 18/10/20

Worship Services

This Sunday we will hold a worship service with Holy Communion in the church building at 10.30am. The theme for this service will be ‘Sabbath, have a rest!’ and Diane Greenwood, a Methodist lay preacher who has been part of St Paul’s for a number of years now, will be speaking. Parts of this service will be recorded and made into an online video which will be available to view on our YouTube channel from 5pm on Sunday afternoon. The service sheet, which can be used in conjunction with our online service, is available to view/download here.

Many thanks to everyone who supported our Harvest Festival services last week. You can still watch this lovely video (below) with a song by our choir which contains ideas for Harvest giving.

Personal Prayer

This coming Wednesday morning, the church building will be open from 10-11am for personal prayer. Come along to reflect, pray, read and/or meditate. You are welcome for as long or as short a time as you wish to stay. There will be no Holy Communion service on Wednesday this week.

Loving God

From our rising in the morning to our lying down again,
you are with us every hour of the day,
our reassurance when storms assail and strength when courage fails.
From our rising in the morning to our lying down again,
your light illumines every step of the way,
our comfort when darkness falls and peace that calms our souls.
From our rising in the morning to our lying down again,
you are with us.
