Sunday Services – 06/12/20

Sunday Worship Services

From this coming Sunday 6th December, the church building will be open again for public worship and we will also be lighting the second candle of our Advent wreath. Andy Jolley, our archdeacon, will be with us in church for our Advent Service with Holy Communion at 10.30am to share from God’s word. We will upload the lighting of the 2nd candle, Andy’s sermon and a song to YouTube after the service. These will be available on our YouTube channel from 2pm. The onsite service sheet is available to view / download here.

Shipley Christians Together (SCT) has prepared an online Advent service, which will be available to view on the SCT YouTube channel from 6.30pm. A variety of people from the churches in Shipley are contributing to this service, so don’t miss it!

Advent & Christmas Services

Below you will find details of our Advent and Christmas services, including our Wednesday morning Holy Communion Service, which will resume in church from 10-11am from Wednesday 9th December.

We will be following all the government and diocesan guidelines to make our services as safe as we can. This includes sanitising hands, 2m physical distancing and mandatory face masks. Please stay at home if you are unwell, isolating or shielding.

Prayer as we light the second candle of our Advent wreath

A candle burns,

the sign of our faith.

God of John the Baptist,

come to us again this Advent.

May we have a faith that renews our lives.

May we live in the light of your promises.

God, give us light, give us hope.
