Pilgrim: A Course for the Christian Journey
St Paul’s Church is pleased to announce that it will shortly be running the second module of Pilgrim: A Course for the Christian Journey – ‘The Lord’s Prayer’. This module comprises six sessions and explores how Christians know and worship God through The Lord’s Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name
Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven
Give us today our daily bread
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
For the Kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
Pilgrim is a major teaching and discipleship resource from the Church of England, which aims to create a place where people can explore the Christian faith together and see how it can be lived out each day. Join a group of fellow travellers to contemplate and discuss the great issues of faith in a relaxed, friendly and welcoming environment.
Pilgrim is aimed at:
- Those who want the chance to think about the Christian faith
- Those who have recently started coming to church
- Those preparing for baptism or confirmation
- Those who have been Christians for many years and want to visit the roots of their faith again
This course is open to all – whatever your background, experience or prior knowledge of Christianity, the church or the Pilgrim Course.
The course will run on Thursday mornings from 10-11.30am at St Paul’s Church in Shipley for six weeks commencing Thursday 5th September 2019 (there will be no session on Thursday 26th September).
